Management Science is the discipline of applying advanced analytical methods to help make better decisions.

The Management Science department offers a choice of degrees which allow students to study Management Science and Business Technology. The department offers the postgraduate degrees:

Opportunities exist to study for a research degree Phd, DBA and MPhil in a number of areas. There is a flourishing community of research students in the department, numbering around 40 at any given time.

Online Executive Training

The department offers online graduate executive training in:

Foundations of Risk.

  • Fully-tutored online graduate-level course running over two calendar months.
  • Aimed at those individuals seeking professional theoretical grounding in the study of risk.
  • Developed, and tutored by, three academic experts in the disciplines of psychology, statistics and sociology.

Operational Research

  • Eleven fully-tutored courses including Statistics, Performance Measurement, Forecasting, Discrete-event simulation plus many more
  • Covering material taught on the successful full-time MSc course at Strathclyde University
  • Developed, and tutored, by experienced academics based at Strathclyde University
